The CTI Server enables the network deployment of several xtelsio CTI Clients. Both telephone systems with central TAPI driver and local TAPI/CTI connection are supported.

An offline call journal also logs calls for logged-off client PCs. By TAPI monitoring and presence management, you can always see which of your colleagues is currently available.

Or use the integrated chat function for easy and quick text messaging.

Functions

TAPI Distributor
The CTI Server provides the functions of the TAPI driver to several xtelsio CTI Clients on the local network. So every CTI Client can control and monitor one or several devices of the PBX.

Hint: The CTI Server only works in conjunction with the xtelsio CTI Clients. Other TAPI applications can not connect to the CTI Server. The CTI Client provides a local "TAPI Connector" for other TAPI applications.

Monitoring/BLF
The CTI Server supports a busy lamp field (monitoring) for different CTI environments:
  • If a multi-line TAPI driver is available on the CTI Server.
  • If the TAPI drivers are installed on the client PCs or the CTI Clients use a built-in telephone connector (for example, Yealink or SIP-SoftPhone).

Presence Management
With the help of presence management, you always have the reachability of your colleagues in view.
The groups created centrally via server management can be integrated in the respective CTI Clients as speed dial panels. These panels display the presence status of all group members. The own presence status including text message, time limit, automatic call forwarding and call protection can be adapted quickly and easily.

Offline Journal
When the client PC is switched off, a server-based call journal can be activated, which logs all missed calls. As soon as the client connects next time with the server, the logged phone calls are transmitted.

Common Main Journal
All phone calls can be logged in a common main journal. The journal can be fed by the TAPI driver of the server or also indirectly by the clients.

TeamChat
TeamChat provides easy and fast 1:1 communication with colleagues connected via CTI Server Speed-Dial Panel. This allows chat messages to be exchanged even when you are on a call. Or send a colleague whose presence status is currently "away" a message with a callback-request. TeamChat also supports multiple parallel chats on separate tabs.

Manage access rights
From the server's management console, you can specify which clients get permissions for which devices. The authorisations for control and/or monitoring of the devices are assigned to the client PC names or username/password.

Free mode
For two clients, the CTI Server can be used free of charge with restrictions:
  • Support of maximum two Clients
  • Offline call journal is limited to two entries per client
  • maximum three devices per client

Installation and Configuration

Typically, the CTI Server should be installed on a permanently available Windows server. In smaller workplaces, where a separate server is not available, the CTI Server can also be installed on one of the client PCs, which then also works as a CTI Server.

Supported operating systems (32-bit and 64-bit):
  • Windows Server 20xx
  • Windows 7/8/10,11, Vista
  • The operating system of server and clients may be different.
