Identity for Outgoing Calls

If you have entered multiple identities in your phone you can select one for outgoing calls:

  • Use active identity from phone
  • Use TAPI application setting.
    In this mode, for example, you can select an identity for each call in the CTI Client.

TAPI Functions

Dial:

  • Switch to headset mode after dialing.

    • Warning: If your Snom phone is always in headset mode and you want to make calls with a headset, then this option should NOT be activated. Otherwise, when you switch the headset mode, you would switch back to the speaker mode.

Pickup:

Enter here your telephone system pickup code, eg '* 77'. Please ask your administrator or telephony provider for the required pickup code.
The check mark at "+ number" should normally be set. The option causes the pickup code is automatically extended and executed with the destination number.

Consult/Transfer:

Two modes are available for selection:

  • Standard mode for transfer (TRANSFER+TRANSFER)
  • TRANSFER+OK

Hint: In the Snom web configuration, the setting "Transfer with Transfer" may need to be enabled under [Advanced > Behavior].

Global Settings

Dial Timeout: If no information about dialing is received from the phone, then an IDLE will be generated for the TAPI-Call after "Timeout" seconds.

CSTA-Dial: If the TAPI dialing does not work for numbers starting with #, you can alternatively activate this dialing mode.
